G. Michael Kelsen, RS, PRA

A certified Reserve Specialist by The Community Associations Institute (CAI), Michael has been involved in the Reserve Study industry for over 27 years. Prior to entering the Reserve Study industry he was involved in several capacities of construction, working for three different developers over an 8 year period. His experience with Reserve Studies started in California in 1991. In 1994 Michael began concentrating his efforts in expanding the company’s business to Colorado.  In 2001 he moved to Castle Rock, Colorado and started Aspen Reserve Specialties. During that time, Michael has completed over 6,000 Reserve Studies, and conducted over 4,700 property inspections in 13 different states and in resort communities in Mexico. He was awarded the Professional Reserve Analyst designation in 2011 by the Association of Professional Reserve Analysts national organization. Michael served as the Vice-President on the CAI Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Directors in 2006 and continues his involvement with CAI by acting as the chairman for the CAI  golf  tournaments from 2003 through 2009.  In addition, he was instrumental in starting and acting as the chairman for the CAI Mountain Conference since 2003.  He is involved with the CAI Southern Colorado Chapter by serving as the chairman of the golf committee since 2013.  In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, attending his son’s baseball games, grandson’s sporting events and golfing.
